Copenhagen, Queen of the Baltic

I am the city of Copenhagen, Queen of the Baltic and the happiest city in Europe. I am the capital of Denmark and once upon a time Sweden and Norway.

My colorful Nyhavn Canal is world famous for it’s brightly painted fisherman’s house and offers some of the best dining in town. Nyhafn is also the best place to watch the sunrise.

I am fun at any time of year but in summer my Tivoli Park opens to become more than just an amusement park, offering popular restaurants and fireworks every evening.

My Little Mermaid sits on a rock overlooking my harbour and has become the symbol of my identity. She looks out to sea (and to the future) as she faces the largest and most impressive windmill farm in Europe – Green Energy is everywhere in my city.

My design and architectural heritage runs the gamut from middle ages to futuristic modern. Happily I am easily reached from North American or Europe by air. My public transport system is state of the art.
